THE PITCH

By Merle Bertrand | February 6, 2002

Warning lights inevitably flash when coming across any film that has to do with filmmaking and “The Pitch” was no exception. After all, how entertainng could a film about a pitch session be? Pretty damned entertaining as it turns out. Director Nash Edgerton’s hilarious slam-bam short flashes back and forth from the pitch session itself, where the filmmaker franticaly acts out hos entire proposed action film, to scenes from the film itelf as only the director could imagine it. Brillianly edited and audaciously staged, “The Pitch” is far more entertaining than the prospective film itself. But isn’t that usually the case?
