THE BIRTHDAY

By Jeremy Knox | February 1, 2005

Kari Juusonen’s “The Birthday” uses impressive stop-motion puppets to portray a man who works at a high-tech slaughter house and the cow who doesn’t want to lay down and die. The visual storytelling is excellent, and Juusonen creates great performances from his puppets.
