SHOUT FOR ENTRIES FROM NODANCE

The always-irreverent No Dance Film and Multmedia Festival is making big plans to unleash havoc and terror on unassuming Park City, UT. from [ January 20th ] through [ January 28th, 2001, ] but in order to do so, they need film…lots and lots of film. The Festival is currently accepting submissions for the 2001 event in feature-length, short and music video categories, and all entries must be postmarked by no later than [ November 18th, 2000. ] The NoDance Film and Multimedia Festival places a very strong emphasis on converging technologies and digital filmmaking, and is the first fest ever to project selections on DVD.
All submissions are eligible for the Grand Jury and Audience awards, and a select few will make the cut to compete for the highly coveted Golden Orb: an award that goes to the “most creative guerrilla marketing campaign on the mountain.” NoDance also keeps things informative and festive with industry panels, networking events, and desktop technology demonstrations — definitely a unique aspect of the Festival. Additionally, the NoDance “Walk On” project provides a mini-screening for any filmmaker, any piece.
