SCREENPLAYS FOR RHODE ISLAND 2001

By Film Threat Staff | September 5, 2000

The Brooks Pharmacy Providence/Rhode Island International Film Festival for indie film and video needs your screenplays for its 5th annual Festival, which is slated to take place on August 8th through the 12th, 2001 in historic Providence, and throughout the state of Rhode Island.
The Festival is looking for screenplays in all genres, but they must have been written [ after 1997. ] The Grand Prize winner will have segments of their work produced in the Production Master Class, where a noted director will also participate, and the lucky writer will also take home $2,500 for their efforts. All screenplays will be judged on “creativity, innovation, vision, originality and the use of language.” So all of your formulaic, generic, and illiterate pieces should probably get a once-over before you decide to submit.
