SONY CLASSICS GOES HARDCORE

By Film Threat Staff | March 7, 2006

Sony Classics has acquired North American, Mexican, Australian, New Zealand and German rights to the hardcore music documentary American Hardcore. Directed by Slamdance co-founder Paul Rachman and based on a book by Steven Blush, the film found success during the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and was later slated to play SXSW (due to the acquisition, however, the film had to drop out of the festival).
