SASQUATCH BIRTH JOURNAL 2

By Phil Hall | January 22, 2011

This film consists of one none-too-funny joke presented in four-and-a-half grueling minutes.

A large bipedal figure that looks like a man in a half-deteriorated orangutan costume is squatting in a tree.  After two minutes, something begins to emerge from between its legs.  At first it seems like the end product of an unusually difficult defecation, but as time passes it appears to be a  teddy bear-type object.  The object falls from the creature’s body cavity and crashes to the ground, where its arm moves slightly.  The creature is then seen bathing the object and itself in a pond before walking away.

This short played at Sundance. Clearly, the quality control aspects of the fabled film festival’s selection process needs a little more attention.
