RIVER RUNS VIDEO COMPETITION

By Film Threat Staff | April 13, 2004

The RiverRun International Film Festival is giving anyone with a video camera a chance to become an award-winning filmmaker this spring. Leading up to the festival, April 22-25 in Winston-Salem, RiverRun is sponsoring its first ever Weekend Short Video Competition, giving aspiring filmmakers one weekend to produce and deliver a 4-8 minute film.
The winning and honorable mention films will be screened at this year’s festival at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the Garage in Winston-Salem.
Participating filmmakers will be given a theme, one line of dialogue, and one prop that must be included in the video. Beyond those parameters, the sky is the limit as far as content is concerned. A completed ½” VHS copy must be delivered to the Stevens Center Box Office in Winston-Salem no later than 4 p.m. Sunday, April 18.
