FILM THREAT'S 2008 SUMMER MOVIE PREVIEW (PART 8)

By Admin | April 29, 2008

August

“Choke”
Chuck Palahniuk’s novel gets decent treatment in this adaptation starring Sam Rockwell. For those of you thinking “Fight Club,” this is nothing like it. But there are anal beads…

“Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”
“The Mummy” was good. The “The Mummy Returns” was s**t. “The Scorpion King” was an even bigger pile of s**t. This one? I’ll wait for video.

“Pineapple Express”
The late Summer Judd Apatow release tactic continues with the latest Seth Rogen film, this one about two pot smokers who become caught up in an action-adventure plot. Worth checking out if for no other reason than to see Rogen fly through the air like a pouncing Batman.

“Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2”
Competing with the new “Mummy” and “X-Files” flicks for sequel no one asked for this Summer.

More August to come in Part Nine of Film Threat’s 2008 Summer Movie Preview>>>
