CINE LAS AMERICAS IN AUSTIN

Cine Las Americas Media Arts Center presents the 7th Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, scheduled April 21st through the 25th, at various venues in Austin, Texas.
The 2004 film festival offers a wide selection of new Latin and Native American cinema, bringing together the newest artistic creations, socio-political events and cultural expressions from people and places in every region of the continent.
The festival kicks off Wednesday April 21st at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown with the Austin premiere of Nicotina, starring Diego Luna (“Y tu Mama Tambien”, “Frida”). Films will be screening at the Arbor Cinema at Great Hills, The Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex, and the Hideout Theater.
