BLAS VEGAS

By Don R. Lewis | June 9, 2007

Man, I’m tired. For some reason Mark and I thought it would be a good idea to sit downstairs in the bar here at Planet Hollywood and drink beers until 4:00 a.m. Granted, I did get to sleep in prior to that, but waking up period today was not fun. The weird thing about Vegas is, I never “really” feel drunk and I never feel tired until I get to my room. Once in the safety of my room, I’m unable to wake up though.

I saw a trully awesome movie yesterday, “The Living Wake.” I know Mark mentioned it but I can’t get over how much I loved this movie. I dare say it’s genius. Movies like “The Living Wake” make me happy to write for Film Threat because I sometimes get to see something terrific and then try to champion it and spread the word. I’d rather be a playa appreciator than a playa hater any day. I also really liked the movie “Choose Connor.”

Lets see…I haven’t really been eating and that’s not smart. Food is frigging expensive here. Mark and I hit a buffet the other day and it was pretty grubbin’. Other than that it’s been a steady diet of pretzels, popcorn and shitty cold case sandwiches from the gift shop. One cool thing about the gift shop is they sell beer in the coolers as if you were in 7-11. You just walk up, grab a beer and pay for it. I said I wouldn’t say anything but Mark drank a pink Mikes Hard Lemonade from the cooler. Sorry Mark! What happens in Vegas only mostly stays in Vegas!

Having fun and am looking forward to more movies and debauchery!
