BILLY DEE FILM TRIBUTE IN N.Y.C.

Billy Dee Williams may go down in the film history books as Lando Calrissian from the “Star Wars” saga, but his three-decade-long cinematic career has also encompassed genres all across the board. New York’s Screening Room will play host to a retrospective of Williams’ hugely varied career from [ January 26th ] to [ February 1st, 2001 ] . The Screening Room is located at [ 54 Varick Street ] .
The event will screen all of Billy Dee’s most well-known films (“Mahogany”; “Lady Sings the Blues”) as well as some strictly fun fare ( “The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars” ) and the weepy stuff too ( “Brian’s Song” ) . Williams’ latest film is Jordan Walker Pearlman’s “The Visit,” which will open in L.A. and New York on [ February 2nd, 2001 ].
