Bridge Of The Doomed

Written by Adrian Milnes and directed by Michael Su, Bridge Of The Doomed does not go the Helldriver route and make a bridge out of the undead. Though, how cool would that be? But the action-horror flick is 75% pure cheesy fun. That last quarter? Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

A virus has ravaged the globe, one that causes the dead to come back as flesh-eating monsters. In the seemingly never-ending war against zombies, a battalion of soldiers is positioned at, and ordered to hold, a specific bridge for reinforcements to cross. Sgt. Hernandez (Kate Watson) and Lt. Whitmore (Dane Bingenheimer) confidently lead their team. But run-ins with some local survivors who hate governmental authority (I guess) cause issues with trying to hold the line and protect everyone against the zombie hordes.

A monster lives under that all-important bridge and is far worse than anyone could have imagined.”

But, as the days and nights wear on, something else reveals itself. A monster lives under that all-important bridge and is far worse than anyone could have imagined. Now, Hernandez must figure out how to defeat it while keeping the undead at bay. Are she and her squad doomed, or is there hope for humanity?

Let’s rip the band-aid off immediately and dive into the issue with Bridge Of The Doomed. While out on patrol, two soldiers, Lin (Johnny Huang) and Sanders (King Jeff), save Susan (Sarah French) from being raped by a scumbag. Said a*****e wouldn’t stop, even at gunpoint, so the privates are forced to kill him. To ensure Sarah’s continued safety, Lin and Sanders escort her back to her campsite. Oddly and off-puttingly, the other scragglers are instantly mad that soldiers are there. They don’t care that Sarah was almost raped. In fact, in the words of one of these inhuman fucks, no one there “wants to talk about.”
