Houston’s Angelika Film Center is screening director Robert Guediguian’s slice-of-life drama “The Town is Quiet” (“La Ville est Tranquile”) through June 27th, 2002.
The film brings the landscape of modern Marseilles to life by telling the story of several characters whose experiences overlap and influence one another in tragic and surprising ways. Director Guediguian says that “at a time when life is more and more meaningless, the town is not quiet.”
