THE 5TH ANNUAL DEEP ELLUM FILM FESTIVAL LOOKING TO KICK CANCER’S ASS!

Running October 22-30 in Downtown Dallas/Deep Ellum, TX, the 5th Annual Deep Ellum Film Festival will open with Ridley Scott’s science-fiction horror classic, “Alien: The Director’s Cut” at the historic Majestic Theater.
The Closing Night Film is the Texas premiere of The Cooler, at the Magnolia Theater.
Festival screenings this year include “In America,” “Die Mommie Die,” “Triplette’s of Belleville,” Fog of War,” Girls will Be Girls and Bubba Ho-Tep among over 100 films and shorts.
2003 marks not only the 5th anniversary of the festival, but also a year of firsts. The first annual Fundraising Gala “A Celebration of Filmmaking – 50 years of Dallas Films”, will be held on Saturday, October 25th at the Official Party Venue located at 2600 Main Street (Good Latimer between Main and Commerce Streets.) Proceeds from the fundraising gala and silent auction benefit DEFMAN which supports The Cancer Relief Fund for distribution to grant applicants. DEFMAN has donated over $10,000 to victims of cancer.
