THE 2010 INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL OF BOSTON UNVEILS THEIR FILM SELECTIONS

Running April 21-28, 2010, the eighth annual The Independent Film Festival of Boston (IFFBoston) has announced its full lineup of film selections.

The festival will open with “The Extra Man,” directed by Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman, with star Kevin Kline in attendance for a Q&A and to receive a Career Achievement Award from the festival. On the other end, the festival will close at the Coolidge Corner Theatre with James Franco’s documentary “Saturday Night,” a behind-the-scenes look at one week in the creation of an episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

Other films and special guests to note include the Duplass Brothers’ film “Cyrus,” Todd Solondz’s “Life During Wartime,” Amber Benson and Adam Busch’s sci-fi comedy “Drones,” Adrien Grenier’s documentary directorial debut, “Teenage Paparazzo,” Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize-winner, “Winter’s Bone” and the hometime debuts of Boston-area filmmakers Chico Colvard, Garth Donovan and Linas Phillips latest features “Family Affair,” “Phillip the Fossil” and “Bass Ackwards,” respectively.
