The St. Louis International Film Festival’s New Filmmakers Forum, which is slated for November 10th through the 12th, has announced the films in competition for this year’s honors. The top prize, the coveted Emerging Filmmaker award, sends one budding director home with $2,500 in their pocket.
“Dead Dogs” by L.A.-based director Clay Eide will compete with four other films for the distinction. A gritty film noir, “Dead Dogs” won the American Independent Award at the 1999 Seattle International Film Festival and Best Feature at the 1999 Chicago Alt. Film Festival, and has screened at fourteen other film festivals around the world.
