SECRET FEST IN SEATTLE

By Film Threat Staff | March 28, 2002

The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) will host the 18th Secret Festival during the event’s May 23rd-June 16th run. The Secret Festival is the “only event of its kind worldwide” and, of course, incredibly popular with the SIFF crowd.
This is the low-down: Secret Festival members (who sign a contract promising not to tell a soul) gain entry to four sneak previews that are off-limits to other moviegoers. The program is ususally a grab bag of cool world premieres, works-in-progress, lost treasures, or films unavailable to audiences thanks to litigation.
The SIFF Ticket Center will be located at Pacific Place. It opens May 9th to Cinema Seattle members and to the general public on May 12th. A Secret Festival Pass is $25, and a Full Series Pass runs for $375, but there are ticketing programs to match any budget. Tickets will also be available by phone at (206) 324-9996 or online at the SIFF site.
