SAVAGE ISLAND

By Eric Campos | September 24, 2003

This gritty little thriller proves once again that backwoods folk are not to be f****d with.
Kicking off their island getaway by accidentally running down a little boy with their car, Steven and Julia find themselves and their loved ones hunted down and tortured by a family of shine swilling whackos out to avenge their boy’s death. The murderous festivities get so out of control that you expect David Hess to drop out of one of the trees.
“Savage Island” commands your attention with its surprisingly cruel turn of events and it doesn’t let up until those end credits roll. This is truly a brutal thriller, well-made and featuring a mighty fine cast, including “Stargate SG1”’s Don. S. Davis. This film will scare you away from the woods more than some stinky old Blair Witch.
