SANTA FE FILM FESTIVAL NEARS

The Santa Fe Film Festival is gearing up now for its upcoming five-day run, which begins on [ November 29th ] and finishes up on [ December 3rd, 2000 ] . The Festival will screen approximately 140 films in every genre imaginable, and the shows will take place in one of ten venues throughout the city.
The list of attending celebrities is a true cultural and ethnic cornucopia. Actress Rosie Perez joins French filmmaker Agnes Varda as a special guest at Santa Fe, and other attendees include distinguished Native American filmmakers Lena Carr and Annie Frazier Henry. Perez will be on-hand to introduce festival screenings of “King of the Jungle,” a hard-hitting urban drama in which she co-stars opposite John Leguizamo. “King” is one of 15 gala films to be shown at the James A. Little Theater at the New Mexico School for the Deaf.
