SAM KINISON BIOPIC UNVEILED Image

Sam Kinison is best remembered by his fans as a wild man — a hard drinking, loud-mouthed partier who lived fast and had people on the floor with his hilarious, irreverent humor. But Kinison’s life began not on the road to comedy, but as a Pentecostal preacher…and once he found stand-up, he became a true star. Before his untimely death at the age of 38, Kinison starred in numerous film and television features, including the classic Rodney Dangerfield film “Back to School”. Kinison also earned a Grammy for his 1996 comedy album, “Live from Hell”.
A film is now in the works based on “Brother Sam,” a book detailing Kinison’s daring life. Producer David Permut of “Face/Off” is at the helm, along with director Tom Shadyac. Universal Pictures will bring the project to the big screen. Stay tuned for details!
