[ Filmmaker Modi’s website ] may say “Will Work for Stock Options,” but she’s got little to gripe about these days. Her award-winning short “Rosa Mi Amor” has won Best Short Film honors at 8 (!!!) festivals, including The New York Underground Film Festival and the New Orleans Film and Video Fest. And did we mention that she’s directed and produced for the likes of the Smashing Pumpkins and Henry Rollins?
