We at Film Threat know how hard it is to find proper financing or distribution for your feature films. It can be a daunting process, made worse if you don’t know who to call or where to look. Let us change that for you! We’ve been given 5 copies of the new Hollywood Distribution Directory, 17th Edition so that we may pass said copies on to you, the filmmaker. But we want to do more than that…

Not a day goes by that a filmmaker doesn’t drop us a message asking how they can get into our Top Friends section over at MySpace. For the most part, there’s been no special trick to it, we’ve been featuring our staff and close friends. Forget all that, our Top Friends will now be your Top Friends! We want to give you a shot at not only a free copy of the Hollywood Distribution Directory, 17th Edition, but also our Top Friends. How do we decide?

Simple, it’s a contest, MySpace-style. All you have to do is start referring your friends to join Film Threat’s MySpace page. Top 5 filmmakers to refer get free copies of the book, and their spots in the Top Friends. The remaining Top Friend slots will be filled out by the next in line. Essentially a win-win, if everyone participates the pool of friends on Film Threat expands, offering you even more exposure when you’re in the Top Friends spots.

For those of you that are interested in the book, but not the contest, we’ve got something for you too. We’ve also been given a 30% off discount code on the purchase of the directory for our newsletter subscribers. All you have to do, if you haven’t already, is sign up for our newsletter. When the next newsletter goes out, it’ll contain the discount code.

Sound good? Then start referring. Have your friends add us and then drop us a message stating they were referred by you. We’ll then approve them, and you’ll get the credit. At the end of next week, September 8th, 2006, we’ll post the winning friends and send out the free directories.

Good luck!
