New Line Cinema has announced plans to hold a screening of “The Lord of the Rings” The Fellowship of the Ring” on December 13th to benefit the New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund. Tickets for the event are priced at $250, with a limited number of $500 tickets offering entrance into a special reception attended by the film’s cast.
In related news, Serious USA will release a premiere 4-card set of CD-ROM Cardz based on the first film, which are loaded with highlights, screensavers, trailers, and sounds from the film.
“Fellowship” opens in most parts of the world on December 19th.
