PHILLY FEELS “LETHAL FORCE”

By Film Threat Staff | June 10, 2002

“Lethal Force,” the self-proclaimed “Instant Indie Cult Classic with the Way Cool Action Figures,” will soon shake down Philadelphia with an exclusive screening at the Five Spot on Monday, June 17th. The film is a part of the Second Annual “Features At The Five,” Philly’s own hit independent film series. Need to know what the “Force” is all about? Think blood, mayhem, and sweet revenge:
After his wife is murdered and his son kidnapped, a gangster is forced to betray his best friend — a deadly killer — in this raucous, off-the-wall satire/homage that is to action films what “Scream” is to horror movies.
“Lethal Force” has snatched up the Grand Prize from the 8th Annual Filipino American Cine Festival & Competition in San Francisco, as well as the Best Jury and Audience Awards for Best Feature at MicroCineFest.
