MILLENNIUM EVENT AT AURORA PICTURE SHOW

Houston, Texas’ Aurora Picture Show brings another avant-garde work to the big screen with their single-evening presentation of filmmaker Bjoern Melhus’ “Good Morning New World” — a project in which people from the world over, asked to participate via Melhus’ email campaign, set out to record the last 30 minutes of 1999 and the first 30 minutes of the year 2000.
Says Melhus of the project:
“The change of the millennium. Never before in human history has an event been so anticipated and celebrated on a simultaneous worldwide basis. Never before in television history has a single event offered more opportunities for TV coverage and strange staged spectacles.”
