MARY WORONOV: A NEW WOMAN

By Eric Campos | April 3, 2003

Hmmmm…having a hard time right now trying to think of any cult film fan who hasn’t groveled at the striking image of film legend Mary Woronov in such films as “Eating Raoul,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School,” and “Death Race 2000,” just to name a few. I don’t think there’s a single one out there. We all have skinned knees.

Now Mary can be seen in the recently released to DVD, The New Women. It’s a post-apocalyptic hootenanny that, if it should ever come true, is bound to give men everywhere raging erections…because that’s part of what goes on in the movie…not trying to be a pervert here.

In celebration of this DVD release, Mary Woronov was kind enough to take some time with us to discuss what it’s like to be a New Woman.
