LOST IN PARK CITY

By Film Threat Staff | January 12, 2005

LOST FILM FEST and EVIL TWIN BOOKING will bring its line up of politically energized film and performances to Park City, Utah during the Sundance Film Festival on January 27th in the Freedom Cinema space 333 Main St Second Floor, Park City UT – across from the Egyptian Theater.
Celebrating the art of culture jamming, and tactical media, Evil Twin Booking and Lost Film Fest host a circus of activist films and performance artists from their 2005 roster. In 2003, Lost Film Fest spearheaded the anti-war protest in Park City supported by Sundance Festival director Geoff Gilmore and other notables. This time they will present the explosive work of politically energized independent filmmakers and performers who bring a fresh critique to current issues of globalization, media ownership, and militarism.
The event highlights fresh amateur footage from the inauguration protests and the only Park City Screenings of GUERRILLA NEWS NETWORK’s Iraq focused documentary BATTLEGROUND: 21 DAYS ON THE EMPIRES EDGE . (GNN produced Sundance’s THIS REVOLUTION, and EMINEM “Mosh” video). Additional screenings include BUSH FAMILY FORTUNES (dir. Greg Palast), and FOURTH WORLD WAR (Big Noise Films). Thursday nights’ festivities include the MEDIA ACTIVIST MARDI GRAS complete with piñatas of george w bush and other supervillains. The party celebrates GUERRILLA NEWS NETWORK and MARDI GRAS MADE IN CHINA (dir. David Redmon) with special performances by SCOTT BEIBIN premiering the LOST FILM FEST emergency film touring program, TIMOTHY SPEED LEVITCH (THE CRUISE) and highly illegal multimedia artists EVOLUTION CONTROL COMMITTEE.
