LOST AND FOUND AT THE ARCLIGHT

By Film Threat Staff | February 17, 2004

Beginning February 19th at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood, indie production and distribution label Rogue Arts is hosting a “Lost and Found” Film Series. The event is being sponsored by the Sixth Annual Method Fest Film Festival. The series will as well run on March 11th and March 18th at the Arclight. Launching the series is the “lost” comic gem “Con Man” and the “found” heartbreaking 9/11 documentary “Brothers On Holy Ground.” The series serves as a launching pad for the films’ subsequent release to DVD.
“Con Man” aka “Cannes Man” was directed by Richard Martini (“Can’t Hurry Love”) and features Seymour Cassel, Francesco Quinn, Johnny Depp, John Malkovich, Benicio Del Toro and Dennis Hopper, among others. A legendary producer, Sy Lerner, wagers a fellow executive that he can take any kid off the street and turn him into the most sought after screenwriter at the Cannes Film Festival.
“Brothers on Holy Ground” was directed by retired FDNY Fireman Mike Lennon. The film was recently the subject of a half hour segment on ABC’s Nightline hosted by Ted Koppel. A resounding tribute, the film shows the hidden agony and the unbridled pride of the FDNY firefighters as revealed to one of their own.
Screenings times are:
11am Brothers On Holy Ground ^ 12:30pm Con Man
4pm Brothers on Holy Ground ^ 5:30pm Con Man
