KODAK ANNOUNCEMENTS AT SHOWEST

By Film Threat Staff | March 23, 2004

ShoWest is currently under way in Las Vegas and Kodak will be making plenty of noise. Here’s a sneak preview of what the company will be announcing at the show:
Kodak is announcing that Hatch Marketing, a full-service multi-media advertising company serving the theatrical market, is purchasing eight Kodak Digital Cinema pre-show systems for installation on The Great Texas Movie Company screens in Dallas, Texas.
Kodak is announcing it will partner with Movie Tunes Inc. to show alternative content on cinema screens this summer. The Kodak Digital Cinema System involved is a network-based solution currently used to distribute and display pre-show content on hundreds of screens across the country. The program, called MUSIC SCENE will be a weekly, hour-long musical entertainment series featuring developing bands and other emerging musical talent – and aimed primarily at teenagers. It will play in primetime, every night on hundreds of cinema screens across the country.
At the show, Kodak will also be showcasing work from its new Digital Cinema Operations Center, now open in Hollywood. This new Internet-based service promises to enhance the movie-going experience with unique advertising, videos and short features to entertain audiences before a film begins.
