Back by popular demand, the second annual Black Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Film Festival will unspool more the 30 films about the Black LGBT experience from Haiti,Cuba, Africa and the United States. The mission of the festival is to entertain and educate audiences through the medium of film about the diversity within the Black LGBT community and the impact of AIDS among people of color, especially African Americans.
The film festival opens on December 6th, with the Black gay comedy, “Punks”, directed by Patrik Ian Polk and starring Rockmund Dunbar(“Soul Food”) and Seth Gilliam (“Oz” and “The Wire”). The film will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
The festival will take place at the BRAVA Theater Center in San Francisco, December 6-8.
