"INDIANA JONES" DISAPPOINTS RUSSIAN COMMUNISTS

By Admin | May 25, 2008

Russian Communist Party members have gone on record condemning the latest “Indiana Jones” film as anti-Soviet propaganda and called for the film to be banned from Russian cinemas.

“What galls is how together with America we defeated Hitler, and how we sympathized when Bin Laden hit them. But they go ahead and scare kids with Communists. These people have no shame,” said Viktor Perov, a Communist Party member in St. Petersburg.

Of course, it gets worse, especially when the Communist party turns their ire to the actors themselves.

“Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett (are) second-rate actors, serving as the running dogs of the CIA. We need to deprive these people of the right of entering the country,” said Andrei Gindos.

Second-rate actors?!? Come on, you’re allowed to hate the movie, even their performances, but considering them second-rate actors is just short-sighted, reactive thinking. Still, we’ll give the final word to St. Petersburg Party chief Sergei Malinkovich:

“It’s rubbish … In 1957 the communists did not run with crystal skulls throughout the U.S. Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?”

Um, yeah. That’s why it’s called a fictional MOVIE! If the youth of Russia are so dumb as to actually believe that Indiana Jones is real, and that Cate Blanchett is a real KGB agent and… f**k, did they see the CGI monkeys? Some political parties need to lighten up a bit…
