“ICARUS” AT ATOM

By Film Threat Staff | October 4, 2002

Evan Mather’s Icarus of Pittsburgh is now available to watch at AtomFilms.com.
The ten-minute short film tells the story of Archie McNally – otherwise known as the “greatest Pittsburgh Steelers fan ever” – because of his daring exploits during the 1979 AFC Championship game when, using a suit of his own construction, he attempted to fly to heaven to visit his dead father.
“‘Icarus of Pittsburgh’ defies categorization – it’s the kind of story that could only be properly told as a digital-video short film,” said AtomFilms VP Scott Roesch. “AtomFilms and Evan Mather have been working together for years, and we’re excited to be able to offer Evan’s latest film to our audience.”
