GENNDY TARTAKOVSKY TURNS TO THE DARK SIDE

By Film Threat Staff | February 21, 2003

Star Wars fans who can’t get enough of that final battle sequence in Attack of the Clones can drop their pants, grease ‘em up, and get ready for more action than they can handle.
LucasFilms has created a series of 20 animated shorts called “Star Wars: Clone Wars.” Funny that they saved the best title for a cartoon rather than the feature it’s based upon. Anyways, the series of two to three minute shorts have been helmed by “Samurai Jack” and “Dexter’s Laboratory” creator Genndy Tartakovsky and will be shown on Cartoon Network in-between programming.
Picking up right where Attack of the Clones left off, “Clone Wars” will feature several new characters for an a*s-kicking good time.
It’s unclear right now when exactly “Clone Wars” will begin airing, but expect it some time this or next year.
