The 4th Annual Hi Mom! Film Festival, which runs from March 2nd through the 4th in 2001, is accepting short-shorts and not-short shorts by people with “deep thoughts and shallow pockets.” $2000 cash will be doled out to the happy winners, as well as six flaming trophies and a buffet of other prizes. Last year’s festivities involved a co-founder’s shoe catching on fire (no doubt linked to the whole trophy thing) and this year promises to be at least as exciting.
Hi Mom! is big on fun, and fun is what you will most assuredly have when you sup upon a pancake breakfast featuring your own lovely intials preserved forever (or as long as it takes you to eat) in batter.
