FILMMAKER GEORGE HICKENLOOPER DIES AT AGE 47

According to the Denver Post, filmmaker George Hickenlooper died today at the age of 47. Hickenlooper was in Denver for the upcoming screening of his latest film, “Casino Jack,” at the Starz Denver Film Festival. George Hickenlooper appears to have died from natural causes.

RIP, George.

    He also directed the first short version of “Sling Blade,” before Billy Bob took it over completely. A shame to hear he’s gone.

    I thought “Hearts of Darkness” was absolutely fascinating! I’m pretty sure he made that in the early ’90s.
