FILM FATALE AND OUTFEST HAVE "THE HUNGER"

By Film Threat Staff | October 12, 2000

Outfest@The Village, in collaboration with Film Fatale, is plotting to set the night ablaze with fiendish sexy vampire action. “The Hunger,” the 1983 cult classic, will screen on [ Wednesday, October 25th at 7:00 PM ] in Los Angeles…just in time for pre-Halloween revelry.
Why see “The Hunger”? The reasons are many…the opening sequence, with a gaunt Peter Murphy (very much in Bauhaus at the time) shouting through the storming “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” as clips of new wave club-goers flash by…David Bowie who, even as an aging, dying vampire, still manages to look debonair…Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon getting it on. “The Hunger” has blood, style, and sex to spare.
