DAY FOUR OF CINEVEGAS, I THINK WE LOST AN HOUR…

By Mark Bell | June 12, 2006

We’ve been doing a good job of hitting the festival HQ as soon as it opens for the necessary daily breakfast, but this morning it seemed like everything was an hour behind. All the filmmakers and press we’ve been seeing all week were staggering in slowly, sunglasses on… the Vegas Effect.

Me, Gina Philips and Jessica Kavana. Gina told me I was creepy.
I got to see “Thanks to Gravity” yesterday, and I was pretty happy with the experience (and the soft pretzel with nacho cheese I had during the film). The film really grasped that stage in a person’s life when you go from the mind-set of high school values and beliefs to college to reality and I really appreciated that.
Jamie doesn’t have any clue what I’m talking about…
I’ll be checking out a few flicks today, and we’ve got more interviews to run on the site, so keep it locked on FilmThreat.com for all your CineVegas Film Festival coverage. We’re 4 days in, we’re still alive and we’ve got our voices.
Matt Dentler is out in force, enjoying the Vegas days and nights.
ps… “Viva Las Vegas” is the perfect movie. It goes with any music. Beck, Gnarls Barkley, Jay-Z… awesome…
