BOWLING WITH SHARKS: CINEVEGAS FILM FESTIVAL 2006

By Mark Bell | June 23, 2006

It’s a minor miracle that Film Threat survived Cinevegas 2006, dubbed “The World’s Most Dangerous Film Festival.” Each morning started with a bagel, each afternoon populated with screening after screening and each evening ended in a different casino where we did anything but gamble. The pace was rough, the movies quality and the drinks plentiful. One minute you’re drinking a VitaminWater, the next you’re watching Dennis Hopper’s son Henry dance on the top of a bar. And did we mention the sharks and late-night bowling?

To attempt to write a cohesive summary of the event is akin to expecting to get back to the hotel room earlier than 2am during the festival, so instead Film Threat offers the blog entries from the reporters who lived the adventure. Day by day, Scott Miller, Michael Ferraro and Mark Bell take you through the debauchery, as it happened, complete with pictures. The oft-mentioned phrase may be “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” but for a week and a half Film Threat made sure that what happens in Vegas gets documented.

Get comfortable and follow the link to get all the juicy goodness from the 2006 Cinevegas Film Festival!
