BACK EAST PICTURE SHOW ANNOUNCES FINAL SCREENING SCHEDULE Image

The Back East Picture Show, a four-day competitive film festival from April 24 to 27, has announced its final line-up, which includes screenings, a professional seminar series and its annual Hudson Waterfront Spring Gala. Overall, the fest features 41 films, documentaries, animations, and shorts, dealing with subjects ranging from the impact of 9-11 to lighthearted comedies, experimental films and mockumentaries.
The opening night screenings will showcase two world premieres from local filmmakers: Rocco Simonelli’s “The Sweet Life” starring Joan Jett; and ”Cooch” starring comics Carmine Famiglietti and Joseph Summa. Other screenings include the world premieres of “Don: Plain and Tall,” from comedian Don McMillan, and the feature “Errors, Freaks, & Oddities” as well as the East Coast premiere of “You Got Nothin’.”
All screenings will be held at the Hudson Street Cinemas on the corner of Hudson and First Street and cost $8.00 per showing.
