The 2003 Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, September 19 – 21 in Birmingham, Alabama’s historic theatre district, is set to open its fifth year with A FOREIGN AFFAIR, starring Tim Blake Nelson (O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?), David Arquette (“SCREAM”), and Emily Mortimer (NOTTING HILL). Sidewalk’s Opening Night screening of the film takes place on Friday, September 19th at the historic Alabama Theatre at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM).
Additional Special Screenings at Sidewalk 2003 include:
“THE CEDAR BAR” (Alfred Leslie, director) – Drunken art critic Clement Greenberg battles with legendary painters and writers over personal and cultural issues. Writer/Director Alfred Leslie scheduled to attend.
ZERO DAY (Benjamin Coccio, director) – ZERO DAY brings us into the world of best friends Andre and Cal, alienated teens determined to carry out a violent attack on their high school.
TOM DOWD AND THE LANGUAGE OF MUSIC (Mark Moormann, director) – A feature-length documentary profiling the life and work of a man whose personal history reflects the evolution of modern music and recording technology: legendary producer / recording engineer Tom Dowd. Producer/Director Mark Moormann scheduled to attend.
