Zombie Strain

Lambchop has nothing on the adorable puppet you will get to meet in the high-grade stoner zombie comedy Zombie Strain, directed by Michael Seabolt from a screenplay by Gregory M. Schroeder.

It’s Christmas time, and Nate (Cameron Vitosh) is working on his film school application at the small production house his buddy Charlie (William Mann) built. He and Charlie are supposed to be partners, but tyrannical Charlie bosses Nate and everyone else around. When his maligned interns, Reggie (Jim Belden), Asliyah (India Jasiri), and Zoe (Chandni Shah), return without any take-out, Charlie blows his stack.

It wasn’t the interns’ fault, as it turns out the zombie apocalypse has begun, and the studio is surrounded. Reggie has a bite from a zombie, so Charlie bashes his head with a baseball bat before he can turn. Shaken, Nate, and the bunch go to inform the production shooting on their soundstage about the zombies.

“Charlie realizes his secret stash has the power to get you so stoned that you can blend in with zombies and walk safely among them during the apocalypse.”

The filmmaker, Madame Money Shot (Nicole Burch), is furious about her unnamed Christmas-themed porn shoot being interrupted. She gets into an argument with Charlie and storms out right into the mouths of a bushel of zombies. Their director’s death leaves the erotic artists Autumn (Emily Ashby) and Theodore (Thomas Dagnino) high and dry with nothing to do but wait for death with the boom mike operator Rich (Alexander D. Vogt).

In order to deal with the situation, Charlie breaks out the Christmas weed and liquor, with everyone getting obliterated. Zoe finds a glowing green box in Charlie’s office with some very strong marijuana inside, which she smokes. It is such a strong strain that Zoe gets hungry and wanders outside to get a snack bag from her car.

She is so high she staggers around randomly, so the zombies ignore her. When Zoe makes it back safe, Charlie realizes his secret stash has the power to get you so stoned that you can blend in with zombies and walk safely among them during the apocalypse.

As I am somewhat of an expert in the field of cinematic cannabis reaction, my advice while watching Zombie Strain is to blow your dome hard and brace yourself for the puppet that is coming. It is a really good puppet and a wonder to see when you are high.
