Terry Weaver’s cinematic debut, The Beast Of Trinity Texas, sees the man as director, screenwriter, producer, and star. However, he wasn’t alone in this endeavor, as several people doubled as cast and crew. For instance, script consultant Ross Bechtold also played Eli, while co-producer Jordan Bradley was the editor and director of photography. What was in Weaver’s script that made so many people want to take on so many duties to get it made?

“…the killings appear to be caused by an animal of some kind, but no expert can identify it.”

Sheriff Ridge (Weaver), known around the small town of Trinity as a drunk, is avoiding his daughter’s attempts to contact him. It is not just because of his latest case, investigating the brutal murders of some campers. As if that weren’t enough, the veterans who live there are protesting the demolition of the bridge dedicated in their honor. Even worse, the killings appear to be caused by an animal of some kind, but no expert can identify it.

With all that on Sheriff Ridge’s plate, imagine his surprise when his daughter, Mariella (Lizzie Camp), is waiting for him in his office one day. While he is a little pissed, she is not here to hash things out between the two of them. No, she’s here on behalf of the cryptozoological society she works for and is the foremost expert on what creature is causing all the ruckus in town and its surrounding area. Is the beast an actual monster, or is someone using the urban legend to their advantage?
