Doe is a dull film about a man who can remember nothing of himself or his life before he awakened on a park bench seven years ago.  After a period of recovery, he finds that he’s fluent in dozens of languages, and has other seemingly unlikely abilities.

After a period of recovery, he finds that he’s fluent in dozens of languages, and has other seemingly unlikely abilities…”

He goes on to become a celebrated author and self-help icon. He marries and has a child. He rapidly acquires college degrees. He becomes a nearly perfect citizen with an almost perfect life, a model of social and professional success.

The question of where he came from nags at him, though. He’s been chipping away over the years following leads to discover any information about his life before the memory loss, but there are no records of any kind. It’s almost as if any trace of his former self has been intentionally wiped from existence.
