What Movie Should You Watch Tonight? The Massive Movie Calendar Knows! Image

When Cameron said he was dying, Ferris said “You’re not dying, you just can’t think of anything good to do.”

Sometimes it’s like that when you need a movie to watch: you’re not dying, you just can’t think of anything good to watch. Do you feel like you’ve watched everything worthwhile within the menu scrolling range you have the energy to navigate? Are you feeling that special pain and emptiness that comes with the end of a binge as the credits roll on the last episode of your new favorite show?

It’s a particular problem being an FT writer: I get calls and texts all the time from people asking what to watch (OK, just texts. I don’t answer calls. What is this, 1876?). It puts me on the spot. I dunno man, what do you like?  Do you need to see some deeply messed up abstract like Aronofsky’s mother! or are the kids not in bed yet so it’s a Zootopia night?  Throw me a bone here, I’m not a ouija board.

“…you’re not dying, you just can’t think of anything good to watch.”

There’s a solution for you and for me… introducing The Massive Movie Calendar.

Today, tomorrow, any day of the year, the calendar makes a suggestion, gives you a little background on the film, and provides a link to the trailer. If you like the one it suggests then there are recommendations for similar films to explore. Don’t spend more time searching in frustrated angst than you do watching… consult the calendar and find a movie.
