CASH FOR QUEER FILM

Frameline and The Horizons Foundation have announced the 2002 Horizons/Frameline Completion Fund for queer film and video projects. The completion fund was established to assist lesbian and gay media artists with the final stages of production. Grants in a range of $2,000 to $3,000 are available for projects in the final stages of production. Submissions are being accepted for documentary, educational, narrative, animated or experimental projects about or of interest to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their communities. The deadline for this year’s submissions is October 14, 2002. Entries must be postmarked by this date. Awards will be announced on December 16, 2002.
Frameline’s mission is to support, develop, and promote lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer visibility through media arts. Through a variety of programs and activities, Frameline provides access to films and videos dealing with a wide variety of issues related to sexuality and gender.
The Horizons Foundation is a philanthropic organization serving the entire spectrum of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. Their goal is to support sophisticated and vibrant organizations meeting the needs of the LGBT communities.
