How do you plan on changing that?

The current model is outdated and broken. Web 2.0 can’t even fix the royalty system because it’s still heavily reliant on human beings and how money is transacted through centralized establishments. And if they are not ethical with the business or did not spend the money to build systems to protect the creators, it’s a big problem. I don’t believe everyone is out to get you. I believe most humans are good people. But the business model and system were poorly designed and it happens to take advantage of you. The gatekeepers are supposed to be there to filter the BS and move through the funnel efficiently, but unethical gatekeepers restrict you from your mission. That’s a huge problem. We as creators and visionaries never want to hear “No” to a vision that has never been done. If you make a movie for 1 million dollars, you may have to go through gatekeepers that decide your fate. To deal with Netflix, you may need to go through an agency or a sales agent, or a distributor. There’s nothing wrong with the middleman, it’s only when the middleman takes advantage of you. That’s another topic to get into that we can save for later. But what if you had a platform that could distribute your content to anyone or any buyer around the world, have transparency and reporting data, and you as the creator can get paid for it without a middleman to cut you the check and execute at scale? More importantly, a company that wants to stand up for the artist in all spaces.

And that platform is Sutudu?

Again, one of the coolest things about us is the patent-pending royalty system that we have set up. I can’t get into it fully yet until our beta release, so the best thing anyone can do is follow me on my social media to stay up to date. All I can say is that it’s going to drive tons of collaborative, financial, and artistic opportunities. It’s going to drive tons of new projects that have never been done before, and new types of partnerships where financial transparency is with 100% reassurance through the use of smart contracts. The current royalty system in the NFT space is a game-changer, but what we are about to do is give it a huge innovative upgrade through our platform. I truly believe this is going to solve a lot of financial problems, workflow, inefficiencies, and lack of transparency that we see in our industry. Amazingly enough, this is just the start as there are millions of new opportunities to build off this new web 3.0 and we plan to do our best and drive positive change with it.

Any other opportunities when using Sutudu?

There will also be fundraising for all kinds of stuff. Sutudu will be the hub for people to raise funds, do non-profit work, network, learn and sell their creative works online. It’s going to be massively huge for filmmakers, musicians, artists, and all kinds of people. It’s very exciting.

Thank you for taking to the time with us. I do have one last question. What did you get the name Sutudu?

I believe that everyone’s work and art should be seen and distributed with the least amount of friction. Therefore we wanted a name that really aligns with our purpose. Sutudu (real word Su Tu Do) is the Vietnamese word for freedom.
