CAGED

By Chris Gore | February 2, 1998

This film has the distinction of being the worst film at Slamdance and makes one wonder why it was even programmed. The story revolves around Charlie Cain, who videotapes legal depositions for a living. Then, on Thanksgiving weekend, he locks himself out of his apartment. The rest of the film is spent watching him try to get back in. No, we’re not kidding. The film was shown on projection video giving one the impression that the film remains incomplete. Even the director must have thought his own dialog was poor as voice-over narration cuts in during dialog scenes. “Caged” reaches new heights in bad filmmaking.
