WHAT IS FILM THREAT?
Film Threat began as a college fanzine founded by Chris Gore in Detroit in 1985. As the magazine evolved into a respected national publication, Gore relocated to Los Angeles in 1989. The magazine received national attention for its coverage of cult films, midnight movies, underground shorts before the market even emerged. Film Threat was the first mag to cover people like Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs).
After over a decade of covering cult films, underground shorts, alternative films and independent features, Film Threat the magazine was retired in 1997. But the legend has lived on as an internet journalism mainstay.

HOW DO I GET MY FILM REVIEWED BY FILM THREAT?
Fill out our Review Submission Form, send your film to us, and we'll review it. That simple. Due to the high volume of films sent to us, however, it can take as long as, if not longer than, eight weeks for your film to be reviewed. You've been warned. All films should be mailed to:
One note: We like free stuff. How do you think we find all this crazy stuff to write about? Because someone takes the time to mail it to us! If you want us to pay attention to you, we recommend including a token of your appreciation. Also, your tape/cd/video/whatever will not be returned unless you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. We reserve the right to ignore your submission.
HOW DO I BECOME A FILM THREAT WRITER?
Send a written submission in the form of a sample review to via our New Writers Submission Form. We are always looking for new reviewers, feature writers, etc... Good stories and solid writers are still hard to come by. Contributors to Film Threat are unpaid, however, consider the bragging rights! Film Threat is always on the alert for news and reports from Film Festivals too. So, write us, and thanks for the interest.
