YOU TOO CAN SELL TO HOLLYWOOD

By Film Threat Staff | July 30, 2002

The American Screenwriters Association is hosting the International Screenwriters Conference in Los Angeles, from August 1-4th. Authors Kathy Fong Yoneda (The Script Selling Game: A Hollywood Insider’s Look at Getting Your Script Sold and Produced) and Christopher Wehner (Screenwriting on the Internet: Researching, Writing, and Selling Your Script on the Web) will speak at the event.
Selling to Hollywood is a four-day conference dedicated to teaching screenwriters how to write scripts, obtain interest from agents and producers, and market their feature film and TV projects successfully to the movie industry. Aspiring screenwriters learn from top producers, agents, and industry authors. Unlike some conferences, Selling to Hollywood’s unique format facilitates access to a cross-section of these professionals during the conference at no additional cost.
This year’s conference features workshops on Schmoozing Hollywood, Structuring Characters for Effective Screenplays, Pitching Your Script to Agents and Producers, Using the Internet to Advance Your Screenwriting Career, Adapting Plays/Novels/True Stories to a Screenplay, Writing Screenplay Sex and Intimacy, Selling Strategies from Outside Hollywood, and Everything You Wanted to Know About the Business of Screenwriting, as well as dozens of more workshops and small group sessions.
The conference also features the annual Screenwriting Hall of Fame Awards, where top entertainment industry leaders are recognized for their contributions.
The Selling to Hollywood Conference will take place August 1-4, 2002 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles.
