WOODSTOCK PROMOTES LOCAL TALENT

By Film Threat Staff | September 8, 2003

Films with local ties are a significant part of the 2003 Woodstock Film Festival. The Hudson Valley Catskills is a hotbed of creative energy and home to many established and emerging filmmakers. Film production in the region also attracts filmmakers from around the world, who are dazzled by the wide variety of location opportunities.
“We have more regional films in 2003 than ever before and we are thrilled to be able to provide serious local filmmakers with a forum for their work,” said WFF co-founder Laurent Rejto, who helms the Woodstock Film Commission, adding, “We’re building a real community which has already provided some great opportunities.”
The 2003 Woodstock Film Festival runs September 17-21.
